1918
The United States entered World War I in 1917. The upcoming season would be far different than any other season before. For the 1918 season many important players had joined the army. With many key players missing it really changed the fortunes for many teams. What united the game and the fans was the Star-Spangled Banner was played for the first time before for a baseball game during this season.
1921
The first baseball game was broadcasted over the radio. People were now able to follow their favorite live even when they were on the road.
